The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the supervision of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, launched an afforestation campaign that covered 165 sites across the country under the slogan " Let's make them green ."
The Ministry is cooperating in this project, which aims to plant 10 million trees, in cooperation with the National Center for Vegetation Development , with the participation of the public and private sectors.
Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdel-Rahman Al-Fadhli said that the " Make it green " campaign aims to "reduce the effects of desertification, develop natural habitats and improve the quality of life."
He added, "We are working with the National Center for Vegetation Development and Combating Desertification to restore vegetation cover to achieve the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. "
The "Let's Go Green" project will be implemented from October 10, 2020 to April 30, 2021.
